Beyond Burger Expands to East Coast

News

Brooklyn and Philadelphia "bleeding" burger lovers rejoice!

As of last Friday, Beyond Meat’s plant-based Beyond Burger is available at Whole Foods Markets in Philadelphia, PA (Philadelphia City Center location) and Brooklyn, NY (both Park Slope and Williamsburg locations). This round of expansion also extends the burger’s availability to more stores in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Kansas, and Idaho. Beyond Burger—which “bleeds,” thanks to the help of beets—debuted in May in the meat section of a Whole Foods Market in Boulder, CO (where it sold out within one hour). The same store opened a burger bar built around the Beyond Burger in July. The company has steadily expanded to new stores, most recently the Rocky Mountain region, and is now available in nine states nationwide. Meat company Tyson invested in Beyond Meat last week, a move that the plant-based company’s CEO Ethan Brown explained would help expand its vegan products to new markets.
