Flax Milk Vegan Yogurt to Launch at Kroger

News

Good Karma puts a new spin on dairy-free yogurt with a new line featuring vanilla, blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry flavors.

Plant-based milk company Good Karma Foods announced the launch of its new line of flax milk-based, dairy-free yogurts. The vegan yogurt line will feature four flavors—vanilla, blueberry, strawberry, and raspberry—and is made with cold-pressed flaxseed oil that contains omega-3 fatty acids and seven live and active cultures. “Our hope is that by expanding our offerings to include plant-based yogurts that deliver a mighty nutritional bundle and a surprisingly good taste and texture,” Good Karma CEO Doug Radi said, “we’ll inspire goodness [that] families can’t help but pass along.” The company launched the yogurt line to capitalize on the growing dairy-free yogurt industry, which is set to outpace that of dairy by tenfold in the coming years. Other companies have innovated the plant-based dairy market with items launched in recent years such as potato and cassava root-based milk by Veggemo, pea-based milk by Ripple, and organic avocado-based ice cream by Cado. The new yogurt line is expected to hit shelves at select Kroger locations this month, with a nationwide distribution plan in place for 2017.
