The music legend says that the Trump administration's denial of climate change is madness.
In a recent interview with media outlet BBC, musician/animal-activist Paul McCartney expressed disdain for how the Trump administration has addressed the issue of climate change. “You've got someone like Trump who says that [climate change] is just a hoax," McCartney said. "A lot of people like myself think that's just madness.” The legendary performer encouraged concerned citizens to consume less—or no—meat in order to address climate change individually. McCartney, along with fellow celebrities Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson, appear in a new promotional video entitled “One Day Per Week,” the release of which was timed with this week’s round of climate change talks (CO23) among Paris Agreement signatories in Bonn, Germany. Made in partnership with the Meatless Mondays campaign, the video explains the negative environmental consequences of animal-agriculture and encourages viewers to remove meat from their diets. This week, Syria signed the Paris Agreement, making the United States the only country to opt out of the global decree to reduce global warming.
