Italian Chain Launches Vegan Avocado Pizza

News

Zizzi added the new vegan pizza and special deals on all vegan entrées for the month of January as part of the Veganuary challenge.

Italian restaurant chain Zizzi launched a vegan avocado pizza at all of its locations as part of Veganuary—a campaign that challenges people to eschew animal products for the month of January. “We wanted to create another dish for our menu that ticks multiple boxes for customers by using ingredients that our diners love,” Zizzi marketing director Jo Fawcett said, “and avocado continues to be one of the key ingredients requested at Zizzi.” The Arcobaleno pizza is topped with vegan cheese, beet balls, sun-blushed tomatoes, chilli threads, purple basil, and raw avocado. In addition to the pizza, Zizzi is offering a two-for-one deal on all its vegan entrées, such as Lentil Ragu and Vegan Margherita Pizza, for the month of January. Similarly, European-based chain Four Hundred Rabbits launched a new vegan sourdough peanut butter pizza earlier this month to promote vegan options during Veganuary.
