The model raved about the vegan burger she sampled at Ellen DeGeneres' 60th birthday party.
Model Chrissy Teigen appeared on a recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to discuss the host’s 60th birthday. Teigen attended the birthday bash with a number of celebrities, including her husband John Legend, Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West. Long-time animal-activist DeGeneres served the Impossible Burger to guests at the party, and Teigen was impressed by the vegan burger. “You have introduced me to the Impossible Burger,” Teigen, who is pregnant with her second child, said. “It’s a thing at Crossroads. I think it’s vegan, and I’m pretty not vegan. It was amazing. It was so good.” DeGeneres explained that the Impossible Burger mimics the taste of traditional beef-based burgers, to which Teigen interjected, “Except maybe more flavorful. Oh, it was so good." The Impossible Burger debuted last year at select restaurants (including Los Angeles-based vegan eatery Crossroads Kitchen) and has since expanded its distribution points to popular chains such as Bareburger, celebrity-owned Wahlburger, Umami Burger, and Fatburger—which added the plant-based patty to all of its domestic locations last week.
