This year's Oscars nominees will be treated to three vegan lipsticks, filled with flower petals, by Blush & Whimsy that change color with lip temperature.
New Mexico-based beauty startup Blush & Whimsy’s vegan lipstick will be included in this year’s Oscars “swag bag.” Nominees will receive three lipsticks—which feature flower petals of different hues—that change color with individual body temperature and contain real flower petals suspended in a clear mixture of cocoa butter and olive, lavender, and grapeseed oils. Blush & Whimsy is a mission-based brand and partners with organizations that employ senior citizens, veterans, and individuals with different abilities such as Down’s Syndrome. The brand’s lipstick was also offered in the Grammys gift bag last month. “To be asked to participate in something on such a large scale like this,” company founder Micaela Brown told local news station KRQE, “it means our message is really getting out there.” During the Oscars on March 24, nominees will also receive skincare products from Pennsylvania-based vegan brand PĀIVÄ.
