Kat Von D Honors Drag Queen Divine with New Makeup Line

News

The vegan makeup mogul has created an eyeshadow palette and lipstick to celebrate the life of the legendary drag queen and promote self-expression, artistry, and positivity.

Cosmetics brand Kat Von D Beauty—owned by vegan activist Kat Von D—debuted a new vegan makeup collection in honor of late drag queen legend Divine (born Harris Glenn Milstead). The Kat Von D x Divine collection features an eyeshadow palette with eight metallic colors inspired by Divine’s iconic eye makeup look and a Studded Kiss lipstick in a nude hue packaged in a collectible neon-green tube. “I’ve always been a huge Divine fan,” Von D said. “He was so iconic and so groundbreaking … He made people question the conventional idea of beauty, and he made something that could be scary to most people very appealing.” The limited-edition collection is available for purchase on Kat Von D Beauty’s website and will launch February 28 at Sephora stores. Von D is currently veganizing her entire beauty brand and will launch a 28-style vegan shoe line later this year.
