Donut Alliance will serve Boston Creme, Pink Lemonade, and S'mores flavors of yeast-raised vegan doughnuts in its new Northeast Baltimore shop this spring.
New vegan doughnut shop Donut Alliance will open in the Northeast Boston area this spring—replacing a former pickle store. The eatery will specialize in yeast-raised vegan doughnuts in flavors such as Boston Creme, Cookies and Cream, Pink Lemonade, and Cinnamon Crunch, and will serve coffee and kombucha. Jeff and Emily Arenberg first launched Donut Alliance as a wholesale business a year ago while the couple was operating the Baltimore chapter of vegan emergency food nonprofit Chilis On Wheels. “We made a lot of different stuff, but people always wanted more doughnuts," Jeff Arenberg told Baltimore Business Journal. "There was just not really accessible, yeast-raised vegan doughnuts in the area.” Once open, Donut Alliance will join a burgeoning vegan scene in the Baltimore area, which will be further expanded with the spring opening of vegan French brasserie L'Eau de Vie.
