Kat Von D Debuts Vegan Program for Makeup Artists

News

Professional makeup artists can now subscribe to Kat Von D's Pro services to receive a number of member benefits and support animal-rights organization Mercy For Animals.

Vegan activist/makeup mogul Kat Von D launched last week the Kat Von D Beauty Pro Program to unite professional makeup artists to promote cruelty-free beauty products. The program features member benefits such as early access to professional products, free shipping to 123 countries, access to member-only experiences, and a 30-percent discount on Kat Von D Beauty products—that Von D is currently reformulating to be completely vegan. “After years of dreaming, I'm thrilled to announce that our Pro Program is finally here,” Von D said. “From the beginning, my goal was to create a program that would inspire you, connect you to others, and help make artistry cruelty-free.” To further support the vegan community, Von D will donate a portion of proceeds from every Pro order to animal-rights organization Mercy For Animals (MFA). “I've learned so much from MFA about how awesome and important becoming vegan is—for the animals, for humanity, and for the planet,” Von D said. “The delivery of the message is smart, informative, honest, direct, and easy to follow. It speaks not only to the vegan community but, more importantly, to the non-vegan world.” Von D is currently involved in a number of vegan ventures, including a 28-style vegan shoe line slated for release later this year.
